With this one sort of estimate....use for checking your work.
Figure she reads 62 pages in 1.5 hours
so in 3 hours she would have read 124 pages.
in 6 hours it would be 124 pages plus another 124=248 pages. Now the pages are 310 pages -248= 62. I saw that number before.
She needs to read another 62 pages,
and that would take her another 1.5 hours so add that to the 6hours you have all ready.
Total 7.5

Solve this in a proportion.
62=1.5
Divide 62 by 310 and 1.5 by x.
So you get 62/310=1.5/x.
Now, cross-multiply. 62 times x=62x. 310 times 1.5=465.
Your new proportion is 62x=465.
Divide each side by 62 (so that you can simplify x.)
x=7.5. It will take Mrs. LaDuca 7 1/2 hours

I'll answer just a couple because THIS IS YOUR HOMEWORK.

1. First, subtract 100 percent from 150 percent. You have a difference of 50 percent. 50 percent is half of the original amount of touchdowns (100%). So, take 8 and divide it by two. Your quotient is 4. Add 8 and 4 and you get TWELVE.

2. You really have to be more specific in order for us to answer that. Is it 15 percent of the cost of pizza and sodas combined, or is it 15 percent of pizzas, soda, and tax combined?

3. Solve this in a proportion.
62=1.5
LaDuca 7 hours and 30 minutes to read her novel.

4. Solve this in a proportion, too.
37/4.625=x/1

Since x/1 =x, you know that 37 divided by 4.625 = x. Now just divide!
Your solution should be "x=8 feet"

the first one is 12 touchdowns b/c 1.50*8=12
the second one is $18.27 b/c 11.95+1.50+1.50=14.95
14.95*1.0625=15.884375
15.884375*1.15=18.26703 which is about $18.27
the third one is 7.5 hours b/c 310/62=5
5*1.5=7.5
the fourth one is 8ft per inch.
b/c 37ft/4.625in=8ft/in

I'll give you hints

first one, Antonio scored 1 short of a baker's dozen in touchdowns.

2nd, an unlucky friday and half a buck.

3rd a half hour short of a regular work day.

4th 1 over a pentagon.

Good luck\

by the way, jackie up there ^ is wrong on 2 of his answers

General rule - when someone posts several questions on the same or similar topics, they aren't looking for help on homework. They're looking for someone to do it for them. Surely you aren't stuck on every one of these. Please try them yourself first. If you really can't do one, post it with an explanation of what you've tried. Then we'll be able to help you learn. As it is, we'll just make it easier for you to stay uneducated.
