I do not wear shorts in the summer and was wondering what would be a nice, flattering, thin material appropriate for summer?

Linen is good. I am not sure how thin it is, however it is very breathable, and very usable.

Good LucK!

I know this might sound funny, but if you think you could give me the best answer, i would apprecaite it. I really need the points. Thanks!

You should consider linen pants, but keep in mind that linen wrinkles terribly.. though I love it personally! Silk is also a nice airy fabric, but beware of some silks that you buy.. certain brands have a "scent" that you cannot get rid of. I didn't realize this and thought that after dry-cleaning the scent would go away..not so... now I have a pair of silk dress pants that I can't stand to wear... $80 later.

Also..there is a fabric that is called Microfiber... it is light, airy, slick and very stain resistant.. .you should check that out. And, just browsing around the stores, many designers like Ralph Lauren have a nice gauzey cotton fabric that is lightweight and perfect for what your looking for.

Good Luck!

Anything 100% natural, like cotton or linen, and never mind the wrinkles. Synthetics are too hot because they don't breathe, pluse they're dangerous near a flame of any kind. (When they burn, they melt and stick to your skin.)

Cotton, linen, or a cotton-linen blend known as fustian (to give it the old-fashioned name) are best. They breathe, allowing air in to evaporate perspiration, and linen absorbs perspiration better than cotton.

Definately buy 100% cotton pants. They are a lot cooler.

No polyester, rayon, nylon. These fabrics do not "breathe".
