clear plastic chunky rings (sometimes they're square or dome) i have seen painted ones in stores but i want to get clear ones so i can make my own. or another option is to find a kit to make them.

yeah. but if you get the painted ones, be sure to paint a clear over it. the color will rub off on your skin and you'll have a stupid looking ring of color on your finger

yes, there are ones, available in any craft store, or those lowly jewelry stores (those that only sell bead, stone accesories and not priced jewels like gems, golds and silvers)
