text messaging problems?

so everytime im in the middle of typing a message, my phone freezes and i have to take the battery out then put it back in to get it to shut off/turn back on. my service is cincinnati bell and i have a motorola razor phone if anyone wanted to know. so has anyone else ever had this problem? also i dont think ive been getting all my messages. this started today.
