there is this guy who is incredibly sweet but not my type at all, and im really nice to him bc hes my friend... but he thinks were going out, and he told people that! a couple weeks ago he got me flowers for vday, and thats how i figured out he really liked me
i find it really flattering, but i dotn like him like that.. how do i let him down easy without breaking heart..word for word please, i have no idea what to say...

I would just say that you really value his friendship, and thank you for being so sweet. Or you can just say you really don't want to get involved with ANYONE right now - that way you are not getting specific and he won't feel bad. After you say that, if he is really that nice, he should respect that and not continue to tell people you are dating when you're not!
