I actually HATE to admit this, but I think he'd write about George Bush. BECAUSE George Bush has a historical legacy, and the historical dramas involve a legacy of male kings.

Heck, I think he may even do a play with GBush at the Center, and star Condoleeza and Laura as Regan and Goneril.

George Bush et al. is not a bad idea. Lots of room for comedy and absurdity, pompousness and innocence. You would need a few evangelical preachers and Osama to round it out.
I was thinking probably Al Gore would be good, as he's a man with a serious quest. Lot's of different people circle around him. There could be comedy (Clintons are entertaining and so are hanging chads) and tragedy (Global Warming and Darfur).
