If you have tried an anti-fungal cream and there is no improvement ,you should contact your doctor. You can also try some diaper rash cream which contains zinc oxide.Keep the area clean and dry,do not use soap very frequently as this can be irritating too.Try using mild non-scented soap.If it is not a fungal infection ,these measures should help.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Call the doctor back if it's more than 2 days. Be sure not to let her take any bubble baths, the chemicals are very irritating to delicate tissue in that area. Have her take an Aveda Oatmeal bath, just enough warm water in the tub to cover that part of her and dissolve a packet of the Aveda Oatmeal bath in the water (it is made for the bath, it is NOT regular oatmeal. Don't use reg. oatmeal!) This is very soothing for irritated vaginal skin. Just let her soak in that awhile with her legs open and splash the water in that area.
Keep her very dry in this area, be sure she wipes well after urinating, even let her go without panties at night when she's sleeping, anything to keep the area dry. Don't let her go swimming til this is cleared up, the chlorine will irritate the skin and the wet bathing suit can cause more yeast to grow. But please be sure to call her doctor back, that's miserable, I know!

You need to take her back to the doctor that recommended the cream and let him/her know that it doesn't seem to be working. She could have something other than a yeast infection or just need a stronger medication.

Definitely call the doctor back. Also, you may want to add Florastor to her diet. It naturally keeps the yeast balanced in your system. She will still need medication but it could help.

Try having her soak her bottom in warm water and baking soda....several times a day. This is what helps my daughter, she doesn't get yeast but vaginitis.

If all else fails call the dr.

Maybe it's not a yeast infection. It could be bacteriosis and if it is, then no antifungal cream will help. If your pediatrician can't help, contact your OBG for an exam.

I think I would try some medicated baby powder after baths. It could be dermatitis similar to diaper rash that is caused by urine dampness. Also, Boudreaux's butt paste is good.

try calling the doctor back. and if that doesnt work, maybe you should try going to a different doctor just once to see what his advice is.
