Ever see the Guns n Roses video for Welcome to the Jungle? Well, think of that. The book is about gang violence in the future and the deterioration of society. The characters speak a form of slang that you must get used to when reading the book. The main character winds up being "conditioned" not to commit crimes any more. The book is worthy of your attention.

A Clockwork Orange is a work of early cyberpunk - a form of sci fi. Amazing book - must read.

It's a science fiction book with a bit of a social statement put in for good measure.
It's my favorite book, bar none.

It truly is amazing. You might be confused by the language the characters speak at first (Nadsat). You'll catch on though.
