Says a lot about the effectiveness of the medicine , does'nt it ? The answer here should be obvious, but here it is, MONEY. Alternative Medicine works and it takes money away from the allopathic/conventional doctors and pharmecutical companies so they are doing anything and everything they can think of to try to take business away and to discredit any progress and successes the alternative medicine industry makes. Stick up for your right to heal yourself and your family. Watch organizations like FDA and most hospitals and doctors who do you think pays them all......

If alternative medicine were proven helpful, think of the millions of dollars conventional medicine would lose. I guess they figure it's worth spending the money now.

Money? Profits? How about this: Every year, millions of people pump money into quick fixes and empty promises for snake oil remedies that don't work -- one more time, here: DON'T WORK. Precious time is wasted chasing blind alleyways. Problem is, most diseases are most treatable during their early stages. So you waste it with homeopathy or some other voodoo bull s hit. Then by the time you clue in and go to an actual doctor, you've futtered away so much usable time that there's not much medical science can do for you. Doctors are getting sick of it, as are many in the medical community. They know their best bet is to try and wake people up, so they spend tons of money on experiments that guys like you never pay attention to, since they nearly always disprove the religion (did I say religion? Oops! Oh, well, it fits!) that you call "medicine." You'd rather have someone telling you that drinking plain old water while chanting and wearing magnets is going to cure all that ails you instead of listen to a professional who's telling you the truth that stings in a way you don't like. Wake up, people! Most alternative medicine is just like Puff the Magic Dragon: It's a fairy tale. The trouble is that MOST fairy tales don't result in someone's needless suffering or death. Learn to think. I can't stress this enough.

The answer is in your question. They have the money to spend. If you had a very profitable business and someone came along with something else to replace your business, wouldn't you try to convince people to keep using your business? If you knew very little about their alternative to healing, wouldn't you argue that it wasn't a legitimate business? Your talking about an industry that makes billions of dollars a year that is being threatened by natural healing. They don't want to give up their lifestyle.

Check out "freedomhealthusa.org"...read about codex alimentarius. If it goes as planned, on December 31,2009, we will NOT be able to buy vitamins, minerals, herbs, natural supplements, it could cover natural foods too. The pharmaceutical companies WILL dictate what we can put into our bodies under the disguise that they are helping to "protect" us. There is an online petition you can sign.

Cos there are an awful lot of fools out there paying them big money to cure their symptoms with chemical concoctions, never once thinking that they need to heal their ailment at the source first. That, of course, is where alternative medicine would help, by nourishing their bodies !!

Oh yes, plain old water does cure a lot of ailments doesn't it........... but I suppose that would be financial suicide for a medical professional to discuss with a patient suffering from say, asthma, arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney disease, liver disease, constipation, acid reflux, depression....... etc.etc.etc. wouldn't it???

MONEY and PROFITS, plain and simple. If everyone found out alternative medicines work and everyone used them, the drug companies would go out of business.

MONEY. competition. you can't patent a drug made with a plant if it has medicinal qualities, thus why marijuana will probably never be legalized.
