Do your parents let you group date at least? Tell the guy the truth. And if he really likes you then he will be willing to try and make it work out. If he is a good guy, and your parents get to know him and trust develops (takes time), then I am sure they will allow you to date. But TRUST ME, your parents' trust is soo much more important than being with a guy you have a crush on. Do not forget that. Good Luck

Speak the truth that you're not allowed to single date just yet. Don't come right out and say no, but tell him you have to ask your parents first. Then, go to your parents and ask about a group date. Whole bunch of girls/guys in a group just basically hanging out. It'll be a date if he pays. You'll also avoid being a nervous wreck because all of your friends will be there. There's nothing wrong with going to a corner alone for a little while, but don't ditch your friends... that'd be rude! It would work for me if I had a teenage daughter!! To top it all off... no chaperones !!!

Tell the guy who asked you out "I'll get back to you on that" and leave him with a smile or something so its almost like you playing hard to get. Then, when you get home talk to your parents about it and tell them that you wont stay out late and you're responsible, and such. Make sure you behave on the date if they let you go, so when you have another date your parents will let you go. If your parents don't let you try to work out an agreement of when you are allowed to date. until then just tell the guy "sorry, maybe another time" still acting like the hard to get type. Trust me, it should work. Good luck :)

I've found that not keeping things from your parents shows maturity. Stay as mature and responsible as you can, and that will show your parents that you can handle yourself. Just explain to them that you really like this person and do not want to give this opportunity away. They may think they are protecting you, but tell them calmly that they are just keeping you from learning about life. And if it makes them feel any better, offer to go with a group of friends. It's better than not going at all! <3

Well honestly I think you should really ask your parents about going out with that person and try to reason with them. But you shouldn't think like a teenage rebel who runs away at night to go out with that person. In my opinion, you should do what you think is right, what ever that means to you.
