Yes, you can! Make sure it has a USB plug though because it might not work if you have the other type of plug. A wireless mouse would be great for a laptop.

Does the dell have a mouse plug inlet? if not, be sure to buy a USB mouse

yes you can go pretty much anywhere to buy a mouse for it.
