Never, if they are that important or if they care they will call back, or leave a message. You will have wasted your time if you do wait by the phone and they don't call.

You should never half to wait on a phone call, if they want you they will either leave a message or know where to find you.
Just something to think about: You wait on a phone call, it doesn't happen and now look at the fun you could have had and lost out on.

No. Always wait a few feet away from the phone. Letting the phone ring a few extra times is the best strategy. One-ringers are obvious.
