Vaginal discharge is normal and varies during your menstrual cycle. Before ovulation (the release of the egg), there is A LOT of mucous produced, up to 30X more than after ovulation. It is also more watery and elastic during that phase of your cycle. You may want to wear panty liners during that time.
The things to be worried about include if the discharge has a yellow or green color, is clumpy like cottage cheese, or has a bad odor. If worried, see a doctor.

Different Types of Discharge
Is this normal?

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.

Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle.

Most likely... just normally produced fluids... Production of normal discharge helps flush out bacteria and keep the vagina infection free. Usually is a somewhat translucent whitish. For some women, this can be enough to need lightweight pads on a regular basis (both my sister and mother wore pads every day until they went into menopause because of the volume of their discharge).

Less likely... some sort of internal infection. Most likely would smell somewhat like rotten meat, and you might have a fever. The discharge will be thicker and more like the pus you get from popping a pimple. sometimes infections happen even if you are not sexually active.

If you suspect an infection, call the OB/Gyn nurse at your clinic. If you don't have a doctor or insurance, call your county public health department or the United Way (dial 2-1-1 in most states)
and they will help hook you up.
Good luck!

Vaginal discharge the stuff you are seeing in your underwear is normal
under most cases and varies. Before ovulation (the release of the egg),
there is A LOT of discharge.

The discharge can look differently depending on what's going on with
your
body. Typically before a period there is A LOT of discharge which is
normal. About 6 months or so before getting a first period, a girl
might
notice an increased amount of clear vaginal discharge. This discharge
is
common. There's no need for a girl to worry about discharge unless it
has
a strong odor or causes itchiness.

Also, if the discharge has a yellow or green color, is clumpy like
cottage
cheese, or has a bad odor then I would go to the doctor to get it
checked
out.

If you get normal discharge try wearing pantyliners (or
“liners”) it's a lighter, thinner pad. You can wear this so that
you don't
soil your underwear.

Almost every woman has a discharge, which should be clear or whitish in color. Discharge is the natural cleanser of the body. You should not be worried about your discharge unless you start to notice irritation, itching, and burning around the vagina and a foul smell coming from the discharge, which is a sign of a yeast infection.

Unless it smells a bit off, that discharge is perfectly normal, it's part of your body's natural cleaning system. All women get it, some get more than others. Get to know what your normal discharge is like, that way, if something about it changes, you'll know that something might be wrong.

Many women self-diagnose yeast infections when really they are having normal vaginal discharge. Discharge tells you where your body is at in your cycle and can be very useful if you learn what is normal for your body. If it smells bad or is lumpy, then it is time to see the doctor.

Sometimes it is just discharge but depending on how you are discribing it , sounds like it could be a yeast infection. Go to the doctor and they will give you med to clear it, or you can buy it at any drug counter in med, department. All women get them its ok.

It sounds like a yeast infection. There is over the counter medicine for it. It is often cost my warm, moist area that doesn't breathe enought. Seriously, after you get it cleared up, wear cotton panties or at least ones that have cotton lining. Cotton absorbs the moisture. If that isn't an option for you as you like silky underwear, try using panti-liners....the kind you can wear on your underwear as a safety measure when wearing tampons.

Could be the beginning of a yeast infection or just a sign that your period is coming.
