Cancer takes so long to develop that the idea would not work for a science fair.

How about testing to see if baby bottles can be sterilized in a microwave? The problem is that the energy in a microwave is so uneven that some might still have bacteria on them because they never go hot enough.

The test would involve using a microwave without a rotating platform in it. Then put in a bunch of bottles half filled with water all around the inside of the oven. After cooking them for a number of minutes use a thermometer to see if they have gotten hot enough to kill germs. Keep increasing the number of minutes on the next tests until all of the bottles are up to the right temperature. Now you have all kinds of time and temperature charts for the project and have a useful recommendation for parents of newborns who want to do a good sterilizing job on bottles for formula.

It might be hard to test with cancer. Love the idea. I know my friend and I are doing something with genetics in the Sims, its really cool actually. But whatever you do, don't put a rat in the microwave, you'll probably get disqualified for endangering an animal.

do a science fair project on Soloar Electricity.
i even saw a solar ecliectrically powered demonstration machine in Radio Shack. It costs like 50 bucks, but you can see and make over 50 ways on how to use solor electricity. the kit includes that little solar pack, that you can use the sun to power up
