On my birthday, my grandma says she is getting me an ipod nano. Are they worth asking for? Are they worth $200.00?

In short, yes. They are extremely popular = more accessories. Also, it is easy to use and cool looking. Do not believe others, they just look at more features, blah blah blah. Just got the new Nano, and i'm lovin it! Hope that helps,

You have a very hip grandma! lol

Nope, the iPod nano is NOT worth it. I bet you the prices are going to drop sooner or later and a 3rd generation will probably come out next year. GO WITH THE VIDEO! It's really great. Im only 13 and I have one, you get used to the size of it and the capacity is really worth the money. I've tested my friend's nano, and its a rip off, its only that price because its new and the size. video... 7500 songs, 25000 pics, 90 hours of video... who could resist???? Happy Birthday and Hope I helped!!!

my opinion for your situation is why not spend the extra 50 bucks and get a video ipod. you dont have to get it just because it plays video, you can still use it for just music if you want. but the extra 26-29gb youll recieve is definitly worth the extra cash. so if shes going to be spending 200 bucks, either you pitch in the rest or have her give the 200 bucks maybe as a gift card and just buy it when you have the extra 50 bucks.

i have a video ipod and i f'ing love the thing. im watching scrubs on it as i type this. i didnt want one when they first came up, but then a friend was selling his for a deal i couldnt pass up, and i cant imagine not having it. so if your going to spend that much for small 1-2gb ipod why not just spend alittle more and get soooooo much more for the extra money. youll thank me later

For me, the main problem with iPods is that they depend on iTunes. Why don't you check out the new Sansa e280 (8Gb) player? I personally like it better. It works fine with Windows Media Player 11, a lot better than iTunes. Both are aound the same price $200-ish

Happy Birthday!!!! ☺

Don't get one they suck. Ask your grandpa to buy you something else. Because if you buy another computer or if you're computer breaks down and you have to reinstall windows your ipod will no longer work.
