well, I've done 4 successful piercings...my lobes (professionally) and 2 cartilage piercings myself. I had one of the piercings on my left cartilage for 3 months, and i took it out because i didnt like the way it looked, a month later i see a small bubble growing...i disinfected it, and it went away. . . does anyone know what might have caused that and if it can turn into something serious?
and, I was looking to pierce my naval myself...i have the curved barbels and a 20kt gold piercing kit. I know where to pierce it but I'm not trained and I dont know if I'm taking a HUGE risk. any comments?

Well the bubble was caused by infection and if you take out the earing and leave it open it will soon cause an infection and i recommend you do not pierce your naval because it creates major infections...
Thank you

Navel peircing on your own is a HUGE rish because the gauge is so big, so theres a MUCH bigger hole, and a higher chance of infection. Also you're more likely to mess up because it hurts more than a normal ear peircing.

I've heard that your bowels are so close to your skin surface there - even the professional piercers can tear your bowel. Not really a chance I'd want to take on my own.

It's cheap - have a pro do it.

you need to be very careful about piercing period we recently had a student here where i live who had her belly button pierced by a professional and she, died .the doctors said they could cut both her arms off and both her leggs and she could live but she didn,t want to live like that.gane green had set in her body so she choose not live like that so she died.i use to pierce people ears i no longer do that anymore.because its so easy to get infected.your ear with the knot was getting infected.
