That is absolutely true. In all cases at my school, guys love lesbians but hate homosexuals.
They're probably just insecure about their own sexuality.
But personally, perhaps I'm bigotted in the opposite way...
Because, as a female, I am horrifyingly turned off by lesbians, but homosexual men are just..... to die for. Extremely attractive. Why is that? Am I just a fangirl? Am I just one of those people wanting the unattainable? Don't know. lol. But yeah.
Lesbians-- tolerable but umnothx.
Gay men-- omfgthat'shot.

I don't agree with the person that stated straight guys that hate gay guys do this because there is some inner voice that makes them afraid of being raped by a man. What a ridiculous comment.
Straight guys are a product of their environment in the fact that normal society does not agree or accept homosexuality as anything more than being a moral deivant or some mental defect. However, because of the straight macho, the lesbian aspect is ok. They see this as hot because of the fantasy of having two girls in bed at the same time. They do not see the homosexual nature of this act, merely their own sexual interest in two women. Most straight redneck guys do not see this lesbian aspect as GAY.
However, not all straight men think this way about homosexuals and society is slowly accepting us more. In lower populated areas and more rural areas where religion has a profound impact on siciety in general, these will most likely be the last places to have a general acceptance of homosexuality.
Straight men do not fear homosexuals, most of them feel the way they are because society has taught them to be that way.
Your right, lesbians are still homosexuals, but straight men see the aspect of two women as merely sexual and not in the context of their orientation. This has been a fact for decades.

You know of I'm 25 and I've dated plenty and had tons of guys as friends. Of all of them, I've only known one in my entire lifetime that honestly doesn't agree with two girls. It isn't a matter of sexuality though, it's a matter of it being something that he didn't think should be shared, but focused on only one girl at a time. He did however tend to date multiples girls at once though. A lot of people fear certain things, and perhaps a great number of those guys that hate gay men act that way because the idea of being raped by another man terrifies them. Fear tends to come out rather often as anger, so it seems to make sense to me that when they think of gay men a tiny voice in the back of their head makes them think of the potential to be raped. Now granted, this isn't something you really hear much about with the exception of prison. Also, some people work very hard to deny inner emotions and thoughts, so seeing others that can be so open and outward about something that even now is controversial makes them jealous and angry. It's upsetting for them to see others let go of that fear and accept themselves when these people can't do the same. They are too afraid of being judged and ridiculed. I'm not trying to say any of this applies to everyone, but only that some would fit a form of these.

yes it is still homosexuality, however, the guys who hate gays but love lesbians are only into lesbos for the sex. They dont see gays as people who love eachother, they see it as people who have sex with one another.
Also, even if straight men didn't have a problem with gay guys, they can't just go out and say it for fear that they may be thought of as gay themselves.

i dont hate gays, but making out with 2 girls at once would be straight, for me, and if the two girls were making out with eachother they would be bi.
