I think it's cute. Could have something to do with tummy bubbles. Maybe nickname isn't the way to say it. Try pet names. As a pet name it's sweet. My kids have pet names for people in their family, Mama, Gima, Gramaw (real southern accent). I know someone who calls their kids demon spawn and 626 the abomination (Lilo and Stich) but its done with love *s*

I'm sure some folks would think it was cute... probably you and 1 other person. But what about when she's a teenager and is feeling insecure. She does NOT need to have grandparents who call her squishy which would only make her feel more insecure. She needs a pet name that makes her feel special... princess special, not "short bus" special...

Are you refering to the squishy mess in the diapers?? Ive heard worse, my Dad used to call me Poo!! (short for pooh bear) Still does it to this day and I'm in my 30's.

It's funny. I've nicknamed my daughter, "The Notorious Kid Vicious" a couple of months ago because she would take my face with both hands and bring it to hers to try and bite my cheeks and nose.

my younger sisters nickname was squiggy ..and she loved being called it...i think squishy has its pros and cons...try taking it and making it something else...like squiggy..you can have that name if you want : )

Personaly, I think it sucks and I dont think she would thank you for it. She might send you her counselers bill in later years though.
