Ahhh that is a tough decision, with so many good songs from each album. I guess I'd have to go for Animals and The Wall plus the song Echoes.
Animals because of the guitar riffs. I have never heard such "angry riffs and solos" before. It has a gnarled sound that, when mixed with the vocals, just gives it a generally anguished feeling, yet with taste and meaning.
The Wall because of the concept behind it. I know so many people who build walls around themselves, only to find that they must destroy it to seek shelter with love and compassion.
And the song Echoes just because it's a 22 minute jam of pure genius that I love to pieces.

I like "Dark Side of the Moon" and "Wish You Were Here".
Dark Side of the Moon: My dad had that tape, and he would put it on, and I would remember listening to "Us and Them". That's how I started to listen to Pink Floyd.
Wish You Were Here: That whole album is amazing. I love all the songs, and it is the album I normally listen to when I'm craving some Floyd. "Wish You Were Here" is my favorite Floyd song ever.

Dark Side of the Moon is the best album by Pink Floyd. I like it because my husband and I have sat back many times with a couple of good friends of ours and just relaxed. Shoot the breeze. Plus it has a lot of good songs that I like like Comfortably Numb which is one of my favorite songs.

waht a dork the first guy was answering. too ahrd to really say istn it. they all have thier own unique merits. i like piper but i always thought it a bit too disjointed, jsut doenst seemt o flwo well to me and i dotn know why. i have all of Syds solo stuf and love it. i do like saucer tho and More. i think meddle was thier first really good experimental album, echoes is wonderful. DSM goes w/o saying hwo good it is and why. animals is disturbing, gives me the chills. WYWH is so very sad to me, the wall IS the magnum opus isnt it. its almost TOO complex but i get it, very powerful, and the final cut is very personal to me. i never thought Lapse was all taht good until recently and nwo i find it amazing as well as divsion bell bothe very powerful.
sorry i cant say which is better. i do have obscured by clouds but its nto great i dotn think, i dotn have ummagumma or ATOM so i cant commetn on thsoe

"The Wall" is the best Pink Floyd album. It's got a storyline to it, and a whole movie too. Just ask anybody!!! (except for the weirdos above me).

i'd have to pick 'wish you were here'. 'shine on you crazy diamond' is the song that got me hooked on floyd. i had an astronomy class my senior year of HS, and we had a planetarium in our school. the teacher let anyone bring in music to listen to at the beginning of class, and someone brought in 'wish...'. well, sitting there, in the dark, staring up at the stars while floyd's spacy, trippy music played, it was brilliant. i'll never forget it.
by the way, 'debbie' posted that 'dark side...' has the song 'comfortably numb' on it, which is WRONG. 'numb' is on 'the wall.'
