how to download temporary files of games?

I know temporary files on a mac are equivelent to caches but I can't figure out how to download caches of games onto my desktop. Please someone help!

there are also temporary files on windows..

If your games are already on the desktop, you dont need to download it again.

If you're talking about how to create a shortcut to a game and put it on your desktop, thats a whole nother story.
