how to calculate average time?

i am writing a chemistry lab report on kinetics, and i really can't get anywhere w/o the avg. time for my two trials. can someone help me out?

add the time from each and divide by two.

( a + b = c = divide by 2. )

The inital time plus the final time divide by 2.
