He said he would let me get one for my graduation but thats like 2 years from now and I really don't see the point of waiting. How can I convince him to let me do it sooner? I said I would cover it and pay him $300.00 and he still said no.

$300 is a rip-off. It shouldn't cost that much. It is going out of style and will be even more so in 2 years! My little sis had one 10 years ago and took it out about 4 years ago. She lives in Seatlle and is definitely cool. Don't try to be "trendy". Plus, most guys don't like them! Just ask on this site or around school.

hmm,, i dont know what the good thing to do would be but i would just go with a friend or myself and get the lip piercing. your dad would be really mad at first, maybe ground you or something, but he would forgive you in the end. thats what my sister did and she still lived

it's hard to convince your parents something like that. my dad told me if i got my nose pierced that i should never look at him again, and if i got a tattoo he would never speak to me again.

Bribing with money is not the way. Tell him you'll be more responsible, and just tell him you'll do better in school, be good, etc. all that good stuff.

there's probably nothing you can do.
because he's protecting you from yourself.
my daughter got a piercing and later regretted it.
so if i talked to you dad i would agree with him.
