K, that taken into consideration, what if it was Christian rap that wasn't just repeating itself over and over again, like TobyMac or Peddedee?

I'm down with rap, it rocks tha house and I find that Christian (yes, there IS such thang, people) rap is THA BOMB! TobyMac, Grits, DJ Maj, John Reubin, T-Bone, dDubb, Papa San...they all rock!
So, yes, I like it bc it's got cool rythm and I can move to it. If it's Christian, it glorifies God, too.

Yes because I find that the lyrics are mostly meaningless, vulgar, and generally reflective of a low-class mindset. Socioeconomics notwithstanding, the low-class mindset is defined as that of individuals who complain/criticize without having solutions of their own, illogical and impractical behavior, and are generally lacking in education. Within each genre, however, there will always be exceptions. It does no good to state a stereotype when it can obviously be countered. In my personal opinion, rap is distasteful, with reasons that are only from my perspective. In stating so, I have nullified the accusations of offense.

Rap music has been around for a long long time. They used to be referred to as talking songs. I don't object to "music" of any kind, but can't help find some lyrics offensive and tasteless.
I like every "kind" of music, but not every "piece" of music. The reason why is that I have my own taste in music, just like everyone else.

Sometimes, there are certain songs i dont like, becasue 1) i cant understand it, 2) some of it is really pathetic and means nothing, and 3), it repeats too much
Although there are certain rap songs that i do like tho
so i am both ways on that question

No problems with rap music. It's got really good beats and I mean some of the lyrics aren't exactly suitable, but that can be overlooked most of the time... for me at least.

well i personally think that when my little sister is singing "smack that" other songs that are all about sex and drugs.. its just wrong. i really think that they need to clean up the music not only with an edited version but they should just be banned from saying stuff like that in the 1st place and same goes for all songs of that mature nature

Half of it is good, but some of it just blowwwwws. The raps that are talking about something like life or love or sonething are good, but the ones that talk about nothing but sex and sh!t are stupid.

So often it's not even music. Just noise. Promotes bad behavior. Or at least normalizes it. I'd rather listen to something with a melody and harmony.
