Dogs are better animals to have than cats. Dogs are less violent than cats, and dogs are a lot more protective, depending on what kind of dog you get.

I love both equally! They both have pros and cons. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. The dogs definitely are much more responsiblity but they are more personable. The cats are affectionate when they want to be but they are so independent! I do obedience and agility with my dogs and I don't think I could do that with my kitties but I love them all the same just as if they were my kids.

I have two cats, and we did have a dog for a long time until she died last summer. I can say that I love cats and dogs equally. They each have their own special traits. I've found that cats are just a lovelable as dogs, and each animal has their own personalitly just like people.

I prefer cats. I think the main reason is because cats tend to be a lot calmer than dogs.
Annd because the first time I owned a dog he was bigger than I was and he scared me.

Dog- at least they acknowledge your existance and WANT to be with you and WANT to make you happy. Cats could care less. Like they say "Your cat doesn't live with you; YOU live with your CAT!"
Plus you can train dogs.

Cats like to play with yarn, dogs like to play with their teeth.
