Im having 2 use my on-screen keyboard, because my sister (who knows NOTHING about computers) attempted 2 use my pc last night, when I wasnt home. Now something is wrong. I have 2 use the on-line keyboard, because when I try 2 type using the the keyboard, the letters double, like tthhiiss. when I try 2 backspace & erase 1 of the letters, it erases them all. An none of the # keys work on my keyboard now. Ive tried system restore, but it doesnt help. What could my sister have done 2 cause this & what do i need 2 do 2 fix it? thank you.

Click on your "Start" button and go to "Settings"- Control Panel and select Keyboard. What it sounds like is that she increased the Character repeat setting on your keyboard control Panel.
Once you click on the Keyboard control panel, reduce the "Repeat rate from Fast to slow ...testing your typing along the way. When your error is cleared. Leave the setting there. Then ask the question regarding putting a password on your computer to keep your sister out.

Yeah first try unpluging the keboard and give it a good shake and kind of hit on the keys with your hands gently like with little presuure ofcouse
and see wat happend
and hit it little hard then plug it back on it should work cuase this might be a reason of something stuck. so that should work.
other wise u will need a keyboard they are really check look for a deal good luck

This sounds like (mis) configurations with sticky keys. Since you did not tell me which Operating system, you will have to lookup sticky keys in the help file.

to disable sticky keys, hit the right shift button slowly 5 times, then a box will appear to turn off or continue to use the 'stickey keys, just hit cancel and that should work :)

well, on most of the older computers, you could set the duplex, and that would cause your keyboard to print twice instead of once, butttt, that's just a guess, orrrr, set echo on... somebody will give you the best info and I don't recall how to do it in xp..
