If it has to be between Mac and Dell, I would definately go with the Mac. Dell sucks big time. They are running into lots of problems and Hewlett-Packard has stolen their number 1 spot in computer sales. So go with the Mac, but I would prefer an HP.

Best Buy has a special edition HP on sale right now for $1014 with 2gb RAM, 120 hard drive, AMD X2 TL-56, 12 cell battery. It's a sweet laptop. I would recommend looking into it. It'll make you happier than any Dell would.

Get a Mac since they make the best quality computer and have the best customer support of any computer. You get better quality for your money.

Plus they are easier to use and don't worry about not finding software for it. It comes with about everything you need and you can easily find other software. There may be only 20 different programs for Macs to do something and 30 for PCs but who needs that many choices anyway? All the major software, like Adobe or Office for examples, have Mac versions of their software.

Plus a PC writer found that to upgrade a PC to what a Mac has built-in would make the PC cost more than the Mac.

If you can find a good bargain, go with a Samsung X11 - best around. And it's vista compatible so you can run whichever Windows you want.

Bu if it's between a Dell and a Mac, I'd say Mac. Dell comes loaded with too many programs that slow it down, and a Mac is much more reliable.

A dell? Get an HP instead, better support.

Get a Mac if you are so inclined, bbut don't plan a lot of common software packages.

Get the Mac. You won't get any viruses and it will last longer.
