I just happend to see film Jewel Thief on Youtube. Though I saw the movie as teenager it is still as fresh and great as it was in1967 Every frame of the movie is simply great. The music by great composer SD Burman, the dances by Vyjayanti Mala and top it all acting by Devanand is simply immortal. Performance by Dadamuni Ashok Kumar is marvellous. The entire film is a text book on good film making. Why can't the present generation of film makers make such kind of movies? What we are forced to see in the name of dance,music and film is some stupid strip tease and nudity by the actors like Mallika Sheravat, Neh Dhupia and other lot. Even if the film makers just copy the films made by Vijay Anand they would be very successful. Any comments from film lovers of India.
