Rent '11:14'. A very good movie starring Hillary Swank. Very interesting story and concept about all of these things that happent to different sets of ppl at the same time. They all happen to be intertwined in some way. It's one of the rare 'B-Movies' I always recommend to friends.

If you can't get that one, 'Hard Candy' is always good, about a teen and a pedophile who meet ovr the internet. Very interesting twist!

If you want laugh-out-loud-funny, rent 'Beerfest'-hilarious!!!!

You need to check out The Sixth Sense, or for something more recent Thank You For Smoking and The Departed are both good.

Depends on what you want, but I have to admit that the person who said Dr. Strangelove is brilliant. My recent rentals include "The departed" (rent it and tell me what you think happens at the end), and though I own it, I always suggest "The Big Lebowski".
