My youth group only has about six "active" members in it. We need to draw people into it. We are doing a laser tag lock in and we are doing Relay for Life. What other "exciting" things can we do? What kind of projects can we do to help our community? Our ages are 7th grade to seniors in high school. What are some different things we can do?

Have more lock ins

:::Have scavenger hunts:::::
start at like 9:00 (when it is dark) and have someone before hand make a scavenger hunt all around your town. EX. Find a sign that has a star in it's name (Wal*Mart) and then buy something there for under $1. Have like a list of 10-20 things you must do and then report back to the church by like midnight. If you live in a small town you can walk or if it is a bigger city/town you can ride bikes. Another EX. of what you can do as a task on the scavenger hunt/game is you must etch the names of everyone in your group into the side of a tree in a park.

do a "school of rock" type of thing where all the people get an instrument and learn a couple of songs that everyone plays and perform it

organize a picnic where the members will cook and sell the food (probably best done at a park in the summer or the beach or something)

paintball

ice skating

field trip to a museum/concert/etc...

clean up of a local park/waterway/forest/beach

lol I dunno... hope this helps!

Ice skating, roller blading, paintball skirmish, putt putt golf, bowling.

To help the community, a big car wash thing, a bake sale, a fete, sell raffle tickets.

Visit a Senior Citizens home, you only need one active member for that.

How about a car wash, bake sale,, go to retirement home and spend time with the elders if permitted. go to the hospitals and bring the children toys or books, that you can get at a dollar store.

Put something together that involves younger kids. if you get them interested now when they are younger they will love to do things in the church as a young adult.
