I like 1 better than 2, but only because of the newness. 2 wasn't very far behind 1 at all. I also didn't like the fact that Elizabeth "just had" to fall for Jack.

DEFINITELY #1. it had a much better developed story, the bad guy was more evil and menacing, and depp's character wasn't as dumbed down as he was in #2. and even though she's a hottie, kyra turning into a swashbuckler was not believeable.

The first is so much better than the second. The second had a really short plot with extra long and frankly boring fight scenes.

The first was better--it was fresher, didn't take itself too seriously and Johnny Depp was just better. The second tried too hard and came up short. I hope the third is better.
