i always am the one who plays the "pipes of peace", i beleive communication is key and talking things through,
life is so short and if it makes the other person happy, then so be it, there can never be two winners, to me always being the bigger person and steping down, means more then being the person who causes and or extends a situation even further
i always calmly say my side and leave it at that, i deal with the public, and i am quite use to dealing with different personality and diversity of opinions, and i find in most cases, being calm and letting the other person blow off steam, prevents a problem from going from bad to worst..causing a "revolution" does just that cause a "revolution" and there must be always one person in a volitile situation who must take controll.

If it is a huge disagreement that I can't get past, here comes a Revolution. If its a small disagreement that easily fixed, the Pipes of Peace are called into action.

As to causing a revolution I'm not sure you can count me out or in. As to playing the pipes of peace..well I'd need someone to show me how to play them first..I'm really a ball of confusion over this whole question...

Always. We are all called to peace. However, I also provide settlement options, which of course are not always peaceful and may include starting a revolution.
Never back people into corners if at all possible. The more options you present at the negotiating table, the more likely you are to to get a peaceful resolution.
Always avoid the dreaded phrase, "There's nothing you can do."

yes, i am a dispute resolution specialist (for my job)
and i am a peacemaker at work and in the rest of my life.
one thing i always do is apologize for my role in the matter.
i listen empathetically to the other person. i express my feelings and needs without judgment of the other person.
i use Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent communication principles.
I use reflective listening and empathy.
I have been a mediator for 6 years.
i study peace pilgrim.
if there is to be peace in the world, there must be peace in the countries. if there is to be peace in the countries there must be peace in the cities. if there is to be peace in the cities there must be peace on the streets. if there is to be peace on the streets there must be peace in the homes. if there is to be peace in the homes there must be peace between family members. if there is to be peace in the home there must be peace in the heart.
i start there, i work there, i have full control over that. i am the creator of peace in my heart and it expands to all those other places.
