I'll give you thee play and monologue - "The Glace Bay Miner's Museum" by Sheldon Currie. (a movie starring Helena Bonhame Carter was then done called Margaret's Museum). The end piece that begins with "Of course everything McDougall said came true" straight through to "Then when they remembered me, they forgot what they put me in for so they let me go" (one of Margaret's monologues). It is a dramatic, passionate piece that won me best actress at the provincial festival and was contacted by agents after performing it at the subsequent national showcase! If you do dramatic, this is the piece for you. If you can pull off the accent, even better!
