For school, I have to write an essay on the similarities between two history book ( have to analyze the similarities between the two sources about what they say regarding a particular historical event/person). I was thinking for the paragraph structure, I would organize it as so: introduction, body paragraph 1 (similarity 1), body paragraph 2 (similarity 2), conclusion... But my real question is: how do I introduce the ideas? I don't think it would be very effective if I said something such as: there are many similarities between book 1 and book 2, in the thesis statement.. So, how would I go about introducing the topic in my thesis & the topic sentences?

Thank you in advance!

If the two books are similar, then say so. If there are distinct differences in tone and philosophy, describe that in the topic sentence.

I suppose both books have been read by you?? And pick several of the people/events and make the comparison.

It sounds to me as if you have a handle on it.

Well you could just introduce yoursef like:
I did a comparison study between two books of different resources and found these differences.......

Or:

Two books, two resources, same question, many differences

Or you could answer with an unusual detail or a strong statment like:

When you take two books and compare them for the same question what conclusion do you draw.... this one.

The society in _Brave New World_ removes this prohibition. It endorses promiscuity, debasing intercourse and divesting it of its tenderness and value yet offering instantaneous gratification. In result, it somewhat is a loveless international. this is not on the instant a international of worry. Love in _1984_ has additionally been made into intercourse. besides the undeniable fact that, great Brother sees love as risky. It tries to disclaim it--"it replaced into basically a passing fancy / it surpassed like an April day." the effect is that Winston Smith's international is extra brittle than Bernard's. Superficially, it has extra danger in it. besides the undeniable fact that, because of fact the courageous new international is extra adaptable and brazenly hedonistic, it somewhat is a lot extra stable to get rid of. It delivers its denizens pleasures they think of they choose, while _1984_ is in line with repression. The vigilance must be consistent and unsleeping. for that reason Winston Smith will become a martyr to sparkling values. Bernard, on the different hand, is corrupted from interior of, because of fact the masochistic final scenes reveal.
