4. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

5. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

6. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why single parents are forbidden to raise children.

7. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society. Heterosexual marriage has been around for a long time, and we could never adapt to new social norms because we haven't adapted to things like cars or longer life spans.

8. Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can't legally get married because the world needs more children.

9. Civil unions, providing most of the same benefits as marriage with a different name are better, because a "seperate but equal" institution is always constitutional. Separate schools for African-Americans worked just as well as separate marriages for gays and lesbians will.

10. Obviously, gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

there is nothing wrong with gay people. the thing that is wrong is that people judge eachother based on your sexual orientation rather than your personality. People dont even give us a chance to prove to everyone that our love is the same, they just think, "oh, they're just horny and they just wanna screw everyone." That's not how it is. People look for anything that can set a group of people apart because they want to seem perfect. For example: first there was slavery/racism. people saw others who were different and used them to make themselves seem superior, then there were the Jews, then men and women roles, than womans rights. This discrimination is just being past down, and now they've given it to us.

Some people just misinterpret the biblical meaning of sodomy (it was against sexual pleasure in general, not just gay sex. It was feared that sex that was only for pleasure and not baby-making would distract people from God.)
Other people are insecure about their own sexuality, and lash out at gays.
