hi all, i'm a labourer but over the last few years i've noticed the back of my hands swell up during periods of rest. i'm 35 years old 5'8 in height and have a chest measurement of 46 inches. i'm pretty fit and buff. my father is an academic by trade long slender fingers, i follow that trait but my hands swell up like a bull frog under stress. whats up any ideas. i do smoke and have no history of heart disease in my family. many thanks for all answers.

your a labourer probably arthritis or wear and tear, mine do the same when Ive been wheeling myself in my chair then break try exercising them a little while your sat.or pour flour into a deflated balloon and tie.then us it to exercise your grip with

Go to docs he may pescribe water tablets.Keep a record of your weight for him too.This will tell him if you are retaining water

Well if your at home when this happens try soaking them in warm water thats what i do with my feet.
