While I could answer some of the same movies that others have mentioned in this thread (wizard of oz, (my all time fav), the breakfast club, etc.) actually thinking back I would have to say that it is a toss up between Four movies that really stood out when I was s teen. First, was "The Warriors", second, "Hair" and third (which I saw on "early HBO" was Clockwork Orange. Each movie had it's own "impact" at the time and was important for different reasons. The Warriors was a movie that my brother and I tried to emulate in different ways. "Hair" was something we watched again and again with my parents which gave us a "connection" and "A Clockwork Orange" was something that was introduced to my brother and I by my father that had a profound influence on my understanding of human nature and ultimately my career. The final movie was "The decline of western Civilization" which was the "guide" for my life as an early 80's punk.

My most memorable movie from my childhood would definitely be Disney's Pocahontas. It's been my favorite movie for about eight years now. I watched it so much when I was younger, I'm surprised I didn't KILL the thing and the VCR, too!
Ironically, it came out when I was three in 1995 and I thought it was scary...

I grew up in the era of John Hughes so The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, and St. Elmo's Fire were memorable for me...

Jaws - I lived on an island when I was growing up. And Jaws definitely kept me out of the water for quite awhile.
I couldn't look at the water without hearing that music....

Wayne's World. As a teenager in the 90's, it was the craziest change in language ever. I mean after Wayne's World, everybody was saying "Schwing", or "Party On", "Spcinter Boy", "Dude are you mental", "...Not", and of course "Denied". I just remember always saying stuff like "Yeah and monkeys might fly out of my butt".
