Okayyy i have been having the worst lower back pains for a about a week now! and i keep having so many brxton hicks and false labor im going insane!!! Im only 36 weeks though. So i decided to go walk the mall for 2 hours.... Why is that you get contractions when you walk? And i felt a lot of pressure when i started to walk.. Do you think maybe he*s making his way down there!!!?? I have also felt so drowsy latley! I already went through that whole nesting stage so i dont have to worry about getting all that stuff done! My body is just ready to give up already i feel so weak :-( Any info would be awesome! thanks everyone!!

When the baby decides to lower itself further to get ready for delivery ... it normally pushes your hip bones kinda apart ... and that could be what alot of the pain you are feeling is. Can ya imagine walking and the pressure just pushing your hip bones? I had it when I was pregnant with my son. His head was just putting so much pressure that walking was entirely uncomfortable. I almost couldnt sit down he was so low lol .... I would say that your getting closer but at 36 weeks ... ya prolly still got longer than you want to think about :) Good Luck!

It sounds to me as though you are being the stages of labor, I would assume that you are seeing your doctor this week...but I am also concerned about your lower back pain....some woman have labor through out in their backs so they do not know they are in labor.
Try timing your Braxton hicks and see if they are true contractions...that might help and give your doctors office a call, they will be able to ease your mind better since they know you best. However at 36 wks you really are ok to go in to labor and may very well be.

Congrats you are in the third trimester! I'm sorry to say that everything is completely normal and it won't go away until you have your baby. Contractions happen when you walk because your body is working and needs water as well as just plain fatigue. The uterus is just a large muscle. You baby could be getting lower but that can happen weeks before the big day. i wouldn't worry too much. Just get lots of rest and relax as much as possible. When the big day does get here you need to be as rested as possible so your contractions can do what they need to. Good luck!

I feel your pain my back hurts like crazy too and even though I've already cleaned everything in sight I can't stop I keep going over it again and again. The baby is already engaged all the way down and I feel like I'm carrying a football between my legs....feels like I'm walking around her head every step I take. But at least her dropped down means I'm a step closer and on my way...I am having lots of BH's too...
