It would vary a bit depending on what cities your friend would be coming from and going to in those states. US Airways operates a direct flight from Portland, Maine to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that takes 1 hour 28 minutes.

What a large number Lemme sparkling it up slightly Your 40 8 state sequence is incorrect: attempt doing it E to W in a greek key trend and then W to E interior an analogous trend Use I-70 as final prognosis Even in it particularly is heyday Rt sixty six replace right into a mediocre highway , at present little or no of it exits : in case you prefer to do the suited stretch the Seligman to Needles is it go away this open i'm going to nibble away at it for the subsequent couple of days

The non-stop flight time from Maine to Pennsylvania will depend on your choice of departure airport in Maine. The non-stop flight will vary from 1h 27min to 2hrs. The only non-stop destination from both Maine (Portland & Bangor) airports is Philadelphia.
(Portland / PWM - Philadelphia / PHL)
US Airways Express operates 4 to 6 daily non-stop flights on this route. The flight time will vary from 1h 27min to 1h 41min.
(Bangor / BGR - Philadelphia / PHL)
US Airways Express operates 2 to 3 daily non-stop flights during the week. The flight time varies from 1h 43min to 2hrs.
If your friend is coming from any other location in Maine, your friend will have to stop in Boston before continuing the trip. It is the same, if your friend is going to any other cities in Pennsylvania, friend will have to stop Boston or Philadelphia.
The actual flight time will depend on the winds, speed of the aircraft and the actual route the aircraft flies.
