I'm leaning towards Barb Wire, or Judge Dredd. Anyone have a better idea?

Remember to give thumbs to the other answerers.

Starring the Question is a good idea as well.

Cat Woman.

Oh, there are many other ones out there that had bombed but this one is fairly recent and goes to show you that even with a hottie like Halle Berry (who has won an Oscar mind you) can do a movie about a comic book character and screw it up. However we can not totally blame her if the script sucked.

My second choice would be Daredevil. Like what was with this movie? Was Ben Affleck still in shock over the J-Lo thing that had happened? He did meet another Jennifer in the process but maybe this is why the acting sucked (as well as the script).

Some of the others mentioned were very bad as well but you have to blame the comic book in general and not the movie.

Honourable Mentioned for worst movie:

The Punisher (I agree both of them)
Spawn
Supergirl (this ticked me off, I like the Super Folks)
Hulk (poor acting and story line)

You get where I am going here. If you can stay to the story line without wandering off (Smallville also p***es me off) you will have a good movie. Although the new series Battlestar Galactica is doing very well changing their story lines around, it was never that good of a series anyways but I am getting off the subject.

Be faithful to the comic book storyline and you will do well. Go figure.

Lex Luthor. Although I loved both Gene Hackman's and Kevin Spacey's performances, as written in the Superman comics by the great Elliott S! Maggin, Luthor was NOT the Greatest Criminal Mind of Our Time, and he didn't want to go around killing millions of innocent people. He simply wanted to stop Superman, and eventually he even gave up on that. According to the comic canon, Luthor was an rich industrialist, an inventor who created many technological marvels which we use everyday in our lives. Some of his greatest inventions were things like a starship that looked like a modern art sculpture, and in fact was displayed as art at the museum in Metropolis whenever he wasn't using it. So, the movies made the wonderfully complex Lex Luthor into a much more one-note character. The TV show Smallville treated Luthor in a more complex manner.

The first attempt by Roger Corman to make the Fantastic Four, about 10-15 years ago. It went straight to video, and is one of the worst attempts at a comic book movie. While some of the scenes were exactly as in the comic book, it still could not justify the virtual crapfest which is this movie. BTW, you can usually find copiles of this movie circulating at comic book conventions. Capt. America starring Matt Salinger (who later was the Flash in the T.V. series) was real bad, but the Superman 3 and Superman 4 movies were enough to prevent Hollywood from making comic book movies for awhile. Supergirl was another dud.

Worst comic book movie EVER has to go to one that was done back in the 70's called DR. STRANGE. The movie had so very little to do with the actual character that if you didn't watch it from the beginning you wouldn't know it was about that particular character. The story was almost non existant, the effects were laughable (even for the 70's they sucked) and other than the use of the the name Stephen Strange bore practically no resemblance to the comic book character it was supposed to be about. It was so bad that I barely remember anything about it...and Dr. Strange is one of my favorite Marvel characters so it MUST have been bad.

The worst comic book movie, well there is more then one. like way more..They made those 2 crappy Captain American made for tv movies, Roger Corman's Vampirlla, The Crow : Wicked Prayer..( Edward Furlong is a shitty actor). Batman and Robin..with batman having nipples.
The Crow Wicked Prayer though needs to be burned and destoryed forever..For god-sake they did a crow dance to bring the Crow back after the bird was killed... that was retarded !!!!
At least BarbWire had a sexy Pam Anderson nearly naked in almost every scene..that was the one saving grace.

I know it has been mentioned before, but it really needs to be reiterated. Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. was the worst possible move ever. The very fact it starred David Hasselhof was pathetic. However, the plot, the action, the cheesiness, it was embarrassing. I don't think they will ever be able to make another Nick Fury movie because of the horrible crimes against humanity that that movie committed. Its not even cheesy enough to be funny, its just sad. So very very sad.

I'd say that the worst movie I know about a comic book character is "Batman & Robin". Among other things they screwed up who Batgirl is (Alfred's niece in the movie, instead of Comissioner Gordon's niece and adopted daughter). Then there's the nipples on the costumes that started showing up in Batman Forever and continued in Batman & Robin. Then the whole series other than Batman & Robin has the problem that Batman kills, which he doesn't in the comic. That alone is a major minus point.
so...yeah, that series is deffinatly at the top. I heard that the Catwoman movie is terrible, so I never bothered watching it.

The Punisher was just completely ruined twice. Both by horrible miscasting. Thomas Jane, are you kidding me? The Box Office killer himself, John Travolta. Don't even get me started on the original with Dolph Lundgren and Louis Gossett Jr. WHY?
