I remember reading when I got a new keyboard that the cord contained lead, which is known to the state of California to cause cancer. Is lead in all keyboard or mouse cords, or is it also in power cords and other computer cords.

Also, how harmful is it? I work with computers and often come in contact with the wires, so if I touch the wires and eat without washing my hands is this harmful?

If I touch these wires and then go to the bathroom (I am male), am I putting myself at risk for cancer?
