Or get up the courage to go to social gatherings, like a bar, with some helpful peers, if not alone.
You have to make an initiative and send out signals.
If you're in any way distant no one will approach you, and if you aren't active then it won't happen either.

get some good friends who are boys first.
he should be some one who you can be comfortable with, someone to have fun with
and then if he is the right one for you, then you'll know.
boyfriends (especially good ones)are not something that you get off the shelf.
you need time to get to know each other and build the relationship.
