Try shutting off your computer and see what happens. you probably just hit a glitch

You may still have the program running in the background. If not, you might have been lagging badly enough to keep it playing. If it gives you the same error again, try modifying the respective preferences.

Ah ok, this is my first encounter question to WMP but I think you have to re-start the PC and lets see. And if its the same again with that player sorry I dont know.

Reboot your computer, and see if that helps. If not, delete it, then reinstall windows media player 11..Good Luck..

press control alt and delete at the same time. task manager should pop up. then where you see windows media player end the task. by clicking it and then pressing end task. hope it works.

there is a setting in your options that lets you continue play even after the program is closed if you want it too. if you want to change this just go into your settings and look for it
