We are looking for a great campground in Acadia National Park for our family. Though we have an RV we are looking for nice, private, wooded sites (not the type of "wooded"sites in private campgrounds where you have maybe 2 trees between you and your neighbours who are a mere 10 ft away!) I've heard they have recently made some improvements in their facilities and was curious to know if it is worth the trip.

I camp at Blackwoods with a tent every year. Blackwoods has only a few lots for RVs, and the lots are at the front. They don't appear to be as well-shaded as the tent lots. The entire campground itself is well-shaded with narrow paved, one-way roads that run counterclockwise. Each site has an iron fire ring and a wooden picnic table. There are fully-functional rest rooms interspersed throughout the grounds, with flush toilets and running water. Each rest room has a water spigot outside, along with a drain for washing dishes.

The lots for RVs do not have hookups, but there is a dumping station. RVs can be no longer than 35 feet and no taller than 11 feet, 8 inches.

Seawall is on the "quiet side" of Mount Desert Island and pretty far removed from the prime attractions of Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Jordan Pond, most of the public carriage roads, etc. This campground has the same layout and features as Blackwoods. However, Seawall is first-come, first-served, so you had better arrive early in the morning and be prepared to wait.

If you plan to camp at Blackwoods in June, July, or August, make your reservation early. If you go in May, September, or October, you shouldn't have a problem waiting until a week or a few days before.

you may visit Portland Oregon. Mt. Hood is one among the main alluring places I particularly have been. between the best issues approximately that area is the reality which you would be able to visit the sea coast on the Pacific interior the afternoon(the haystacks are a good sight on my own), and in one hourspersistent you are able to spend the evening snowboarding. i replace into there over the summer season, it replace into rather remarkable. This weekend I did squat nevertheless. properly, I wiped sparkling up my backyard for iciness particularly. Spreading compost isn't close to as relaxing as what you probably did, i'm constructive. edit: what precisely is "ungodly warm"? something like a typical time-honored warm, or maybe extra humid?
