I am writing a college entry essya, and they have asked me to describe an area of science and technology, and explain what will do to promote it, and how much it will cost. I decided to discuss bionic organs, and how the bionic eye and arm will soon be commonplace, but we need as mamny scientists as possible working in this field to improve the bionic eye and arm so that they are as functional as the biological nes. How much would that cost?

Millions of dollars a year, at least. Just to pay the scientists' salaries, not even including whatever materials you need in the lab.
