I go to a college prep and they claim that we have an advantage over other schools when it comes to the admissions process. I am skeptical on this claim that the school makes so I want to see if it's really true or not.

If your high school has a reputation than that may help. You may not necessarily perform better than someone from a public high school, but your high school name and reputation has weight. It is the same thing for colleges, just because you attend a "good" college doesn't necessarily mean you are getting the BEST education... I learned more in the community college courses that i took than the university level courses i took...

if you go to a college prep school you have a better advantage than someone who went to public purely because you learn how to better prepare for college
