well i got into an accident about 2 years ago and i went to therapy. My lawyer gave me $2000 from the accident and he said i cant use it until i turn 18. Well im 17 now and i was just wondering do i have to wait still or can i just use it? He also told me i was too young to use it soo.....Any one can answr??

I just wanna know if i can use it now because my cousing was 17 and she got to use her money. just asking if my lawyer is right that i cant use my money till im 18. like i sed im 17 now and really want a straight answer not information

First let's clarify, the attorney didn't give you 2k... that came from the insuance company which is the standard amount to help when someone has a claim.

Now, the problem is that when you are a minor involved in a lawsuit, you need parental consent. You can use the money for medical bills, etc... even to pay utilities but you have to get parental consent.

Therapy money can be used for emergency purposes if needed.
