Probably not this early. He has a broken leg that hasn't healed.
There is probably a better choice on the waiver wire somewhere.
If you need specific help in a category like HR, RBI - look a little deeper for Chris Duncan in St Louis, 22 hr's in 90 games last year. Could be a 40 HR guy this year - but he can only play against RHP. Garrett Anderson is often over looked but will supply 20-25HR's. .300avg and close to 100 RBI's this year.

No, I wouldnt pick up Nick Johnson. He is out till mid-May plus he will be limited in playing time. Javy Lopez is not the same player he was a couple of years ago, I would drop him and look for a sleeper.

I'd keep Javy Lopez for now, cause he had great years in Atlanta hittin like 30-40 HR's and he didn't do great in Baltimore cause playing vs NYY, BOS and TOR who have great pitching staffs, and playin in a pitchers ballpark that doesn't get a bunch of HR's and now he's playing for the Rockies at Coors Field which is nothing but a HR Ball Park, which is why Rockies will probably never win a WS unless they get 8 bats in there lineup of power hitting

It's taking a chance but once the games start you'll be able to put Johnson on the DL and screw Javey Lopez (I know from my past teams). You just have to hope you don't need that DL spot for 1 of your real starters!

Absolutely. Lopez is done. Johnson might not be back for a couple months, but he'll add more value than Lopez.
