when i left the service my musician friends came
by to say hello and introduce me to their new female
friend who hooked on to them so she could get into
the dances for free, well she was in the front seat of the car,
she didn't even look at me as i was being introduced, then
she turned around and said, HIM, he was in the service !!!
he still looks like a 16 year old !!!! I don't believe it !!!!
Sorry, but i just don't believe it !!!
Well, for the first few times we were near each other, she
always had something smart to say to me,
like she for some unknown reason she didn't like me !!
I was always so nervous around her.
I always felt i wasn't ever going to be on her good
side because i looked so young ..........
Well, then one day,
we became great friends, did lots of
fun things together, lots of laughs and fun,
then i left to go work for some law firms and
started to write her, got a job for the Government, kept
writing her and before we knew it, we got married !!!!
Those were some beautiful times in my life, thinking this
beautiful woman with long reddish brown hair, great big
green eyes would ever like me, well, somehow, somewhere
deep inside, she was falling in love with me, and our lives
spent together were the most wonderful times of my life ~
And from our first meeting i never would of thought in a
million years we would someday be as one whole life together
in such a beautiful marriage ~ once in a life time dose such
a dream come true ~
and yes, i did smile thinking about this memory,
so far in the past, yet still so close deep within my heart !
Thanks ~

My personal best memory?
Well there are 4 of them at different times but they are the same.
When my first son was born, then when my second son was born and then when my twin girls were born, I did something that has been a family tradition for generations.
At the first Full Moon after their birth, I held up my new child and introduced them to the Spirit of the Moon and asked for his blessing for them.
I guess it sounds a bit silly but it's quite a moving experience because every child in my family has had the same!
My children are very intelligent and talented and I think part of that was from the blessing.
I am Pagan, we have beliefs that are completely different from the mainstream religions as we believe in GodS and Spirits rather than A God.

I celebrated a birthday last week. I am in my mid-forties. I have a vivid memory from when I was three years old. It is a bittersweet memory for me. My grandfather (my dad's dad) died a month after my younger sister was born that year.
My godfather always gave me a dress for a birthday present every year. The year I was three he gave me a white dress with a pocket that was yellow and shaped like a pear. I remember showing the dress to Grandpa at my aunt's house in the Chicago suburbs.

Going to my grandmother's house and having chicken for dinner and ice cream cones and chocolate chip cookies and she would put us in a little red wagon and take us to the park and afterwards we would watch tv and color in coloring books and stay up till midnight waiting for New Years to come. Good times!
