No it is not, because when you mutliply 3 million years by the amount of days in the year which is 365.25 days, it gives you 1,095,750,000 days. You mulitply that by the number of hours in a day which is approximately 24, which gives you 26,298,000,000 hours. Rounded this is 25 billion hours. However, to get how many years 250 billion hours is, simply do this process in reverse, 250 billion hours divided by 24 hours in a day gives you: 10,416,666,666.67 days. This divided by the number of days in a year which is 365.25 gives you: 28,519,279.0326years.

Using a trick called "Dimensional Analysis" you set it up as such:
x years = 250,000,000,000 hours
Now you have to multiply the right side of the equation by 1 (Written strangely). Since anything divided by itself is 1, any quantity divided by an equal quantity is also equal to 1. The trick is to write 1 in such a way that the units on the right side eventually become the same as the units on the left. First "1":
250,000,000,000 hours * (1 day / 24 hours)
Since 1 day = 24 hours, you didn't change anything, except that the units "hours" now cancel out, leaving you with "days" on the top. You are also left with the number 24 on the bottom of the fraction.
Next "1":
250,000,000 hours * (1 day / 24 hours) * (1 year / 365.25 days)
Still haven't changed anything, but now the units "days" cancel out, leaving you with "years" on top (Finished) and putting a 365.25 on the bottom.
Final answer: x years = 250,000,000,000 / (24 * 365.25)
X = 28,519,279.032
Gotta say it's closer to 30 million years than 3...
