First off, if your autobiography reads like Bridget Jones' Diary, then it's already be done and it won't be interesting, forget the truth and make it interesting, if you are good writer, then you will be able do this.

The only way to actually guarantee that your story will be read, is to take certain parts of it, I suggest finding 5, 8-9 page exerpts, and taking it to 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, CA, of course, this will only be practical on a vacation.

Your publisher should be able to suggest an agent. If not they aren't much good at their role.
If you are vanity publishing the piece yourself then you need to find a literary agent who will take it on.

I don`t know anyone who can help you, I am sorry. However if it has already been published, wouldn`t your publisher know someone? You must have led a very exciting life, to have had it published. ! You have made me feel all frumpy and dull !!
